This unit is part of the Level 4 Certificate in Principles of Leadership and Management for Adult Care (RQF) and has the following learning outcomes and assessment criteria:

- 1.1 Analyse the features, principles and values of outcomes-based and person-centred practice
- 1.2 Evaluate how outcomes-based practice and person-centred practice relates to the wellbeing, choice and control of individuals.
- 1.3 Explain how active participation contributes to wellbeing and the achievement of positive outcomes
- 1.4 Evaluate the effect that legislation and policy may have on person-centred and outcomesbased practice and procedures
- 2 Understand how the leadership of practice achieves positive outcomes for individuals through person centered practice
- 2.1 Explain the manager’s responsibilities for leading a team to implement outcomesbased and person-centred practice
- 2.2 Evaluate how to develop a culture that considers all aspects of individuals’ wellbeing as well as their history, preferences, wishes, needs and strengths
- 2.3 Analyse why and how systems, processes and approaches for outcomes-based and person-centred practice need to be regularly reviewed
- 2.4 Explain the importance of listening to feedback from those who use your service and responding positively
