  • Analyse Observation Records: Examine the observation records for insights into how well the individual managed to navigate the environment, noting areas of strength and difficulty.
  • Gather Feedback from the Individual: Ask the individual for their perspective on how successfully they negotiated the environment, including any challenges faced and how they felt throughout the process.
  • Consult with Team Members: If other people were involved in supporting the individual, collect their observations and feedback on the negotiation process.
  • Evaluate Use of Support Strategies: Assess the effectiveness of any support strategies or aids used, determining whether they adequately met the individual’s needs.
  • Consider Progress Over Time: If applicable, compare this experience to previous ones to gauge progress in the individual’s ability to negotiate environments.
  • Identify Challenges Overcome: Highlight specific challenges that were successfully overcome, noting any adaptive strategies or support that contributed to these successes.
