The Level 1 Diploma Introduction to Health and Social Care is (as the name suggests) an introductory qualification to the health and social care sector to give learners an overview of the industry and help them to acquire the personal, social, learning and employability skills they will need to progress further in the field.
It is a short course and, following completion, learners will be prepared to work in an entry-level role in the sector, get an apprenticeship or undertake further education.
This course is provided by several awarding bodies, however, the information on this website is based on the City & Guilds framework. The good news is that the standards for this course are the same across all awarding bodies, so the materials on this website can be used to guide all learners.
This qualification has six mandatory units and several optional units to choose from.
