- As discussed in the previous section, Early Years Practitioners should model positive behaviour to children
- For this assessment criterion, you will be required to demonstrate that you are a positive role model, particularly relating to the encouragement of children’s social skills
- This can include:
- Demonstrating to children how to perform tasks
- Showing kindness and empathy to others
- Displaying cooperation (e.g. sharing, taking turns, helping others etc.)
- Modelling how to behave if you win/lose a game
- Having discussions with children about what you and they are feeling
