  • As discussed in the previous section, Early Years Practitioners should model positive behaviour to children
  • For this assessment criterion, you will be required to demonstrate that you are a positive role model, particularly relating to the encouragement of children’s social skills
  • This can include:
    • Demonstrating to children how to perform tasks
    • Showing kindness and empathy to others
    • Displaying cooperation (e.g. sharing, taking turns, helping others etc.)
    • Modelling how to behave if you win/lose a game
    • Having discussions with children about what you and they are feeling
