• When applying management and leadership models, conflicts may be encountered, such as:
  • Lack of unity – if there are multiple leaders with different ideas about how to lead, then it can lead to a lack of clarity and confusion for followers
  • Lack of consistency – if leaders are not consistent with their leadership style, followers will be unsure about their roles and responsibilities.
  • Great Man Theory suggests that leadership skills are inherent, whereas more contemporary theories suggest that leadership can be learned
