• Responsibilities of direct payments recipients
  • Direct payments must be used to meet the needs specified in the assessment/care plan
  • Inform local authority of any changes to circumstances that may require reassessment
  • Have employment responsibilities for any individuals they employ (including health and safety responsibilities)
  • Inform the local authority of any difficulties with obtaining care
• Responsibilities of commisioners
  • Share assessment and care plan with care provider
  • Support the recipient of direct payments to procur the services they need
• Responsibilities of social workers/care managers
  • Provide care and support services in line with the assessment and care plan
  • Regularly review the care plan in partnership with other stakeholders
