  • When changes are made to systems and processes, it is important to measure and evaluate their impact
  • This is because it tells us if the change has been successful or not
  • The measurement method used will be intrinsically tied to the specific situation, however, some example metrics that may be used include:
    • Number of complaints (e.g. has the change led to a fall in the number of complaints an organisation receives related to a particular area of practice)
    • Number of accidents (e.g. has the change led to a fall in the number of accidents related to a particular area of practice)
