- By recognising the signs and symptoms of illness in children (including the signs/symptoms of common illnesses), we can ensure that they are looked after and recieve any medical attention they need
- Signs and symptoms of illness in a child include:
- Fever/higher temperature
- Rashes
- Pain (e.g. head ache, sore throat, achey muscles etc.)
- Coughing/sneezing
- Changes in behaviour
- Shadows under eyes
- Tiredness/lethargy
- Pale skin
- Being clingy
- Changes to appetite
- Bedwetting
