- In 2021 one in six children aged 5 to 16 have a diagnosed mental health problem compared to one in nine in 2017.
- In 2019, 24% of 17 year old’s reported to have self harmed in the the previous year.
- Approximately 9.4% of children aged 3-17 years old have been diagnosed with anxiety.
- Nearly half of 17-19 year old’s with a diagnosable mental health disorder have self-harmed or attempted suicide, with a higher percentage of 52.7% for young women.
