• Be aware and educate themselves of what bipolar disorder is and the symptoms they may see within the individual suffering.
• Be supportive of the individual suffering and help them find ways to cope or encourage them to confide in a professional.
• They can help relieve some stresses and pressures that the individual may be holding which can prevent episodes from occurring.
