- When reporting suspicions or disclosures of child abuse or neglect, you may risk losing the bonds of trust and respect you have built with the parents or carers
- Sometimes you may be unsure if suspicions or disclosures of abuse or neglect are justified – you should always err on the side of caution and report your concerns to your manager
- Some care workers may find it it difficult to work with individuals that have a history of child abuse – we should try not to let our personal views cloud our professional practice
