  • Research and evaluate theories that you may use in your own practice. For examlple:
    • Social Learning Theory (Bandura) – learning by observation and modelling
    • Systems Theory – behaviour is influenced by several factors that make up a system
    • Psychosocial Development Theory (Erikson) – describes developmental stages of life
    • Psychodynamic Theory (Freud) – people subconciously seek gratification stemming, in part, from childhood experiences
    • Social Exchange Theory (Homans) – relationships are built on an exchange process where individuals aim to maximise benefits and minimise costs by weighing up the potential risks and rewards
