- ensuring they know how to access policies and procedures

- ensuring they have a clear understanding of their responsibilities and accountabilities
- ensuring they understand health and safety policies and procedures including evacuation routes and storage of hazardous materials

- ensuring they have credentials such as computer system logins and and identification badges
