- Values-based recruitment is an approach to recruiting staff that share the same or similar values to the organisation
- This can support effective resource management because:
- recruitment costs can be cut because the right candidates will be attracted to the position
- employees will already have a good understanding of the values of the organisation
- employees will be less likely to make mistakes because their decisions and actions will be based on the same underlying values
- employees may require less training
- employees will have more job satisfaction, which can result in lower levels of staff turnover and better performance
