• By reading through professional standards, we can evaluate how our own practice compares them and identify areas for improvement
• E.g. the Code of Conduct states “always explain and discuss the care, support or procedure you intend to carry out with the person and only continue if they give valid consent” – maybe you feel that you don’t always have time to discuss what care you will perform, so you resolve to change that aspect of your practice going forward
