  • This means that each individual’s unique needs, wishes and preferences must be accommodated when planning and delivering health and care services
  • Person-centred values include respect, dignity, privacy, independence, partnership-working, choice, individuality and empowerment
  • This approach is enshrined in legislation and regulation which includes the Care Act 2014, the Health and Care Act 2008/2012 and the Care Quality Commission’s Fundamental Standards
