  • Medication (e.g. pain relief etc.)
  • Good oral care
  • Pre-emptive prescription (so that medication that is likely to be required is quickly available)
  • Psychological support
  • Promoting the individual’s rights and dignity
  • Supporting an individual to adjust position (to reduce likelihood of bedsores)
  • Maintaining a comfortable environment (e.g. dimming lights, opening windows etc.)
  • Use of catheter
