Unit 382 Promote well-being and the rights of the individual

This unit is one of the Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care Optional Units and has the following learning outcomes and assessment criteria:

1. 1 Be able to promote well-being through person centred care
   1. 1.1 Describe the factors that contribute to a sense of well-being
   2. 1.2 Use an evidence based framework to support well-being
   3. 1.3 Explain how the individual making informed choices can contribute to their well-being
   4. 1.4 Enable colleagues to offer meaningful choices to individuals • social • emotional • cultural • spiritual • intellectual • economic • physical • mental evidence- based framework models- Examples include: • PERMA (Positive Emotion Engagement Relationships meaning and Achievement) • Dementia Mapping • Stepped Care
2. 2 Be able to empower and enable individuals through co-production and co-design
   1. 2.1 Describe the benefits of co-production to the individual
   2. 2.2 Explain how co-production and co-design can promote the rights of the individual
   3. 2.3 Explain how co-production and co-design can improve service design and quality
   4. 2.4 Demonstrate ways to support individuals which empower and enable them to influence service provision
   5. 2.5 Enable others to support co-production and co-design
