  • For this assessment criterion, you will be required to demonstrate that you are able to plan an environment which supports children’s socialisation and group learning
  • The children’s age and stage of development must be taken into account (e.g. cooperative play activities would only be suitable for older children)
  • The children’s interests should also be taken into account
  • There must be sufficient resources available to ensure all children can be included in the play activity
  • Set areas for particular activities (e.g. mealtimes, blockbuilding etc.) can support a child’s understanding of what behaviours are expected
