• Ways in which early years environments support play imclude:
  • Having resources (toys, books, arts/crafts etc.) available and accessible to children
  • Opportunities for play activities that take the children’s interests into account
  • Promotion of interaction between children and both adults and their peers
  • Caring and patient adults that provide warmth, encouragement and praise
  • Opportunities to explore and play safely
  • Strong relationships between children and Key Workers (and other adults)
  • Promotion of choice and independence
