- Following a planned play opportunity, practitioners should use their knowledge, observations and experience to identify the next stage of a child’s learning and development
- If a child found the activity challenging, this could mean providing additional opportunities and support to help a child to improve their skills
- For children that performed the activity well, this could mean changing or adapting the activity
- Further play opportunities should be planned with the child’s interests in mind
- They should also be enjoyable for the child and take into account their stage of development
