Unit: Unit 3.2: Plan, lead and review play opportunities which support children’s learning and development in relation to current frameworks
Learning outcome: 2 Be able to lead and support play opportunities
Assessment criteria: 2.1 Lead a planned play opportunity in own setting

• Having planned a play opportunity, you will then be required to lead the activity
• This will involve preparing the play opportunity (e.g. gathering the resources required, settinbg the activity up etc.)
• Introducing the activity to the children and encouraging their participation
• Supporting the children’s learning and development during the activity
• Observing the children during the activity
• Reflecting on and evaluating the play opportunity after it has concluded
