• Practitioners should think about ways that they can encourage parents and carers to take an active role in their chid’s play
• Ways that this can be done include:
  • Sharing information about the child’s current interests
  • Providing resources, such as toys, that a child can take with them to play at home
  • Educating parents and carers about the Early Years curriculum
  • Explaining how activities are supporting their child’s development
