  • All parents can experience difficulties at times and may require support. It is important that Early Years Practitioners are able to identify when a parent or carer may need their help.
  • Some signs that may indicate a parent or carer needs support include:
    • Changes in mood or behaviour
    • Looking tired, pale or worn out
    • Having a dishevelled appearance
  • Your organisation’s policy/procedure may state that when you have concerns about a parent, it should be reported to a manager or senior member of staff
