  • Family problems – If the child is struggling to get on with their family, this can cause a lot of stress on them.
  • Friendship problems – If a child is struggling to make friends or is having frequent arguments with their friends then this can cause a lot of stress and make them feel depressed.
  • Unstable/unsecure home = If a child feels unsafe or fearful in their own home then this can cause excessive stress and can lead to depression.
  • Grades = Some children struggle academically and may feel stressed trying to keep up with their peers and get good grades, they may feel upset and depressed also if they see their friends doing well and not themselves.
