- The Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers and Adult Social Care Workers in England describes the principles that all healthcare workers should abide with
- Other standards include the Care Certificate, National Occupational Standards, CQC’s fundamental standards and the six C’s of nursing – a good breakdown of standards relevant to healthcare workers can be found here
- In addition, healthcare workers should understand their responsibilities relating to health and safety
- This includes the risk assessment process, whereby employees assess the potential harm of situations or activities and put systems and process in place to minimise or remove the risks
