• A good list of health and safety regulations that apply to the care sector can be found here
• Guidance can include the Care Act Statutory Guidance, which provides information about implementing the legislation contained in the Care Act 2014 – for example, local authorities are required to have systems to prevent individuals from being harmed and must assess the needs of all individuals that may require care services.
• The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is the regulatory body for workplace health, safety and well-being.
• The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the regulatory body for registered care providers.
• The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) is the regulatory body that ensures that medicines and medical devices are safe for use.
