EYP 3: Equality, diversity and inclusive practice in Early Years Settings

This unit is part of the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner and has the following learning outcomes and assessment criteria:

1. 1. Understand legislation and statutory guidance for practice in the early years
   1. 1.1 Explain the terms: equality, diversity, inclusion, discrimination
   2. 1.2 Explain current legislation and statutory guidance relating to equality, diversity and inclusive practice
2. 2. Understand how policies and procedures inform equality, diversity and inclusive practice
   1. 2.1 Identify policies and procedures relating to equality, diversity and inclusive practice
3. 3. Be able to work in ways which support equality, diversity and inclusive practice in an Early Years Setting
   1. 3.1 Interact with babies, young children, parents/carers in a way that values them and meets their individual needs
   2. 3.2 Reflect on the impact of own attitudes, values and behaviour when supporting equality, diversity and inclusive practice
