  • A moral, legal or professional obligation to work in a way that ensures, as far as is reasonably possible, the best interests and well-being of the individuals that you support
  • This means not doing anything or omitting to do something that could result in them coming to harm, including actions that are outside your level of competence
  • It also means working in way that embodies best practice
