• When considering the use assistive technology, the benefits, risks and challenges should be analysed to ensure that it is fit for purpose
• E.g. an individual that is unable to talk after having a stroke may wish to use an electronic communication device. A benefit may be that they can communicate independently, A risk may be that become reliant on the technology, which impacts their rehabilitation. A challenge might be the time and effort it takes to learn how to use the technology effectively.
