  • Attitudes that lead to discriminatory behaviour include:
    • Stereotyping – assuming that all individuals from a particular group share the same characteristics (e.g. all aliens are obnoxious)
    • Prejudice – ingrained and false beliefs about individuals from a particular group (e.g. aliens make me angry because they all voted for Donald Trump)
    • Labelling – assigning a label to a group of individuals (e.g. “greenies”)
