Newly-formed teams usually require a lot of direction from the leader, however, when a team becomes established, the leader will want to develop the team so that they can be more autonomous and able to deal with challenges themselves
The leader will document and role-model the way that challenges should be addressed and pass this skill onto the rest of the team
The team may also be developed to address particular challenges that arise
E.g. if a client develops more complex needs, team members may require additional training to provide effective care and support
E.g. if a conflict develops between two team members, the leader may speak to them individually to help them to see things from the others’ point of view or provide mediation
