- All team members should be encouraged to share skills, knowledge and ideas because:
- Teams are made up of a variety of individuals with different experiences and perspectives, all of which must be taken into account to provide holistic solutions
- Team members will have different specialised knowledge and skills, which can help with problem-solving
- Similarly, different team members will know of different people or services that could be of use
- Some team members may be shy or lack confidence, which could result in useful information not being passed on to the team
- By sharing skills, knowledge and ideas, the team will have access to wide variety of information that can be used to inform actions and decisions
