Unit 19: Entrepreneurial Skills in Adult Care

This unit is part of the Level 4 Certificate in Principles of Leadership and Management for Adult Care (RQF) and has the following learning outcomes and assessment criteria:

  1. 1 Understand the wider market for adult care services
    1. 1.1 Evaluate how own service relates to the wider market of service provision
    2. 1.2 Explain how data, information and input from others can be used to identify innovative options for growth to meet the needs of the adult care market
    3. 1.3 Analyse the importance of entrepreneurial skills in ensuring that the market as a whole is able to meet future demand for adult care services
  2. 2 Understand the entrepreneurial skills required to support business growth in adult care
    1. 2.1 Explain how to establish a culture that supports innovation, change and growth
    2. 2.2 Explain how to recognise aspects of the organisation that are no longer effective in providing a person-centred service
    3. 2.3 Explain ways to identify new trends in social care and to evaluate how these might be incorporated into your business to support the growth and development in market provision
    4. 2.4 Explain how to work with others within and beyond the organisation to identify opportunities for growth as a service and as a business
