  • The performance of adult care services can be measured in several ways
  • Adult care services should agree on key performance indicators (KPIs) that will be used to measure it’s performance
  • KPIs can include:
    • a CQC rating of good or above
    • a low level of complaints
    • a low level of incidents and accident
    • the achievement of positive outcomes for individuals receiving care and support services
    • staff turnover rates
    • the number of individuals receiving care and support services
  • Care must be taken to ensure that the measurements are collected accurately
  • For example, CQC ratings will be provided by the Care Quality Commission following an inspection
  • For example, complaints logs or accident books
  • For example, a customer satisfaction survey sent out to all individuals receiving care and support services
