Assessment criteria: 5.1 Explain how to capture and analyse data and information from a range of sources to understand the performance of an adult care service
- The performance of adult care services can be measured in several ways
- Adult care services should agree on key performance indicators (KPIs) that will be used to measure it’s performance
- KPIs can include:
- a CQC rating of good or above
- a low level of complaints
- a low level of incidents and accident
- the achievement of positive outcomes for individuals receiving care and support services
- staff turnover rates
- the number of individuals receiving care and support services
- Care must be taken to ensure that the measurements are collected accurately
- For example, CQC ratings will be provided by the Care Quality Commission following an inspection
- For example, complaints logs or accident books
- For example, a customer satisfaction survey sent out to all individuals receiving care and support services
