- Strategies for managing and adjusting staffing patterns can include:
- Staff with flexible working hours – this should be explained and agreed upon during the recruitment process and written into employment contracts
- The use of agency staff (e.g. during team meetings or to reduce the workload of a stretched team
- Succession management planning
- Having sufficient backups of staff with specialised skill sets
