- Staffing structures can have a close relationship to service outcomes
- Poor staff management can result in services being understaffed which can have a negative effect on the outcomes of the service
- The staff team that works with a particular individual should be as consistent as possible to ensure that there are bonds of mutual respect and trust built between individuals and staff – if an individual does not feel comfortable with their staff team it can lead to poorer outcomes
- Team management theory suggests that teams with the best performance have a mix of staff with different skill sets. this can lead to better service outcomes and so may be a consideration during the planning of staffing structures.
