  • The typical structure of a supervision meeting is as follows:
    1. Greeting and setting ground rules (e.g. confidentiality, no disturbances etc.)
    2. A discussion about any concerns or questions either party has (e.g. difficulties the supervisee is having in their work role, performance issues identified by the supervisor etc.)
    3. Reflection on recent experiences to solidify experiential learning
    4. A review of current learning objectives and the supervisee’s progress or achievements
    5. The revision of any current plans and objectives (e.g. if the supervisee needs more time to complete an objective or removal of an objective if it no longer aligns with their job role and responsibilities etc.)
    6. Agreeing on new objectives
    7. Planning how current and new objectives might be achieved
