• Supervision is an opportunity for team members and managers to talk about the team member’s learning and development and any concerns they may have
• Supervision is a formal process to ensure that team members are getting all the support that they need and can plan their learning and development
• Supervision also addresses the team members’ well-being in relation to the stresses of their work and how they can overcome barriers
• Ideally, supervision should be scheduled on a monthly basis
• supervision is usually conducted on a one-to-one basis but group supervision may also be available
