• We all have our own unique values, belief systems and experiences that are personal to us
• However, we should try not to let them affect our working practice
• We must be aware of our own personal views and how they may influence our choices, so that we can remain unbiased and professional when we are working
• E.g. we should distribute our time amongst all service users rather than being favourable to the people that share the same values as us
