• Reflective practice is the process of actively thinking about an experience and assessing your actions and decisions
• It can be used to identify things that you could do better if a similar situation arises in the future
• By continuously doing, reflecting, assessing and changing we can continuously improve our practice and the quality of service provided
• The phrase ‘learning from mistakes’ embodies reflective practice but we should also reflect on the things that we did well
