• The way that you support individuals should promote their identity, self-image and self-esteem
• You should value and respect an individual’s identity and the choices that they make
• You should not allow your own personal views to influence how an individual sees themselves
• E.g. you should support an individual to buy and wear the clothes that express themselves
• You should support an individual to feel good about themselves
