- As a senior care worker, you may need to use your role and authority to support an individual’s right to make choices
- This may mean promoting their rights on their behalf and supporting them to challenge decisions made about them
- You may support your colleagues to support individual’s rights by providing training or having discussions during meetings as well as answering their questions and providing guidance and advice
- You may also challenge any bad practices that you observe and support others to understand the individual’s right to make choices
