- To support individuals through grief, it is important that we are well-prepared to answer any questions that they may have.
- It is also important to be able to pick up on cues that they want to talk as well as be able to respect their right not to talk
- This can include general questions relating to loss and specific questions relating to their condition or that of a loved one.
- We should also be aware that individuals may hide some of the things that are troubling them.
- We should be sensitive to the individual’s needs and understand that they will experience a range of emotions
