  • Reflective practice is the process of thinking about your work and considering what you did well and what you could have done differently
  • Kolb (1984) posited that the process of self-reflection is required to transform experiences into learning
  • Theories relating to reflection include:
    • Borton – What? So what? What now?
    • Kolb’s Reflective Cycle – doing > reflecting > learning > testing new ideas
    • Gibb’s Relective Cycle – builds on Kolb’s work by adding more structure and ‘feeling’ to the process
