- Computer games can provide scaffolding so that children learn foundational concepts before moving onto more difficult problems
- Can provide motivation and encourage children to learn
- Gain new knowledge and experience (e.g. see animals or buildings from around the world)
- There is research to suggest that too much screen time can have an adverse effecton cognitive development
- Guidance from the World Health Orgamisation (WHO) advises that children under 1 should not have any screen time and children ages 1-4 should have a maximum of 60 mins
