- Every child is different and so the Early Years Practitioner must plan to meet the individual needs of each child
- All children will have different strengths as well as areas that they need to develop and so the practitioner should take a child-centred approach to ensure that all children can reach their potential
- Similarly, each child will have different needs, such as likes, dislikes and dietary requirements
- Children may also have special eductional needs and disabilities (SEND) and so require additional support inparticular areas of their development
