• Short term plans can cover a day, a week, or even a morning/afternoon and may include:
  • Planning an activity
  • Planning an outing
  • Planning a lesson
  • Individual learning journeys
• Long term plans can cover a term, a half-term, a season or a year and may include:
  • The Early Learning Goals that a child will work towards
  • Seasonal holiday topics (e.g. Diwali, Christmas etc.)
• The goals of the long term plans should be considered when making short term plans
