• The Early Years Practitioner should encourage parents and carers to take an active role in their child’s play, learning and development in relation to preparing them for school readiness because this will support the child during the transition
• Practitioners should share and discuss the child’s Early Years Foundation Stage Profile with parents and carers
• Practitioners may hold group meetings with parents or have one-on-one discussions to provide information and guidance relating to the child’s transition
• Information and guidance may also be disseminated to parents and carers via other formats (e.g. letters, leaflets, factsheets, displays etc.)
