• An Early Years Practitioner can support children to prepare school in severl ways, including:
  • Providing reassurance and information about the transition to children and parents/carers
  • Discussing feelings about the transition and what to expects in a one-to-one or group setting
  • Facilitating visits from teachers or visits to the school
  • Telling stories, roleplay or small world play relating to the transition
  • Ensuring the school has information about each child, including their level of development, interests and any special educational needs
